Donate
Thank you for taking the time to visit our donation page and for considering a gift in support of M’akola tenants.
In recent years, rising costs and ongoing social and economic challenges have created additional barriers for many families. For many, food security has become an urgent and growing concern.
Because of the generosity of our donors, M’akola has been able to provide grocery gift cards to families across our housing communities. These gifts help put food on the table, ease financial stress, and offer meaningful support during times of need, support that many families might not otherwise have.
Each year, our goal is to ensure every subsidized M’akola household receives a holiday gift card at Christmas. With continued generosity from donors like you, we know this goal is within reach.
To make donating easy, contributions can be made through CanadaHelps.org, where all donations are used to purchase grocery gift cards for tenants. We also welcome donations mailed directly to our head office, made payable to M’akola Housing Society. All donations receive a charitable tax receipt, issued by either CanadaHelps or M’akola Housing Society, depending on how you choose to give.
In many Indigenous cultures, gifting is an expression of respect, care, and connection. By donating to the M’akola Holiday Gift Program, you help strengthen food security and bring dignity and warmth to families in our communities. If you wish, your donation can be directed to a specific city or housing community, and we will honour that request.
Donations are accepted year-round. To ensure your gift supports a family in the current year, please make your donation by December 5.
Please make a donation below or you can mail or drop off a donation at our head office:

There is no donation too small; we appreciate everything we have the honour of receiving for our clients.
